The TECH Severn 2018 Conference and Exhibition is the perfect opportunity for councils and businesses to discover how creative uses of technology can help them solve some of the toughest challenges facing them today. Taking place at Theatre Severn, Frankwell Quay, Shrewsbury on Tuesday 17th July, the day will be packed with insights from a broad range of exhibitors as well as chances to network.
It’s set to be a valuable event, bringing together delegates from education, government, health, housing, social care and industry to explore the opportunities and investigate the solutions needed by UK councils, social care providers and businesses. It will look at the future of council services, delving into ways of providing effective and efficient prevention-based service delivery — bringing service providers up-to-date with the complex agenda around housing and caring for an increasing and ageing population.
As part of the event, the team will be taking to the stage to make real a range of everyday scenarios showing how wearable technology can have transformational impacts for people. The team at Shropshire Council set us the challenge of bringing to life some powerful scenarios, ranging from pre-emptive interventions that improve people’s wellbeing over time, to acute situations where instant access to information can better support those in need and their families, and deliver potentially life-altering impact.
In addition, the housing and government teams will be in attendance, to talk about how we work with a wide range of customers to solve these and other challenges. We’ll also cover how, increasingly, we are seeing local authorities and housing associations collaborating to deliver better outcome for the people they serve — through better, more joined-up, digitally-enabled public services.
