LONDON —December 11, 2017. Dr Martens is undertaking a 3 year IT enabled business transformation programme with Hitachi Solutions Europe.  The programme will underpin and accelerate their strategic ambitions.

An established and well-loved brand, Dr. Martens has grown over many years to become a global lifestyle footwear brand with sales to 63 countries across the Americas, EMEA and Asia.  Like many established businesses, they now have a plethora of old IT systems and processes, which have served them well, but cannot support their ambitious growth plans.

Dr. Martens chose Hitachi Solutions as their global transformation partner

Following an extensive selection process they chose Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Retail and Operations with Modern POS (mPOS) as the technology solution and Hitachi Solutions as their global transformation and implementation partner.

Jon Mortimore, CFO Airwair International, takes up the story ‘this programme will use IT as an enabler – resulting in change to our current systems, processes and procedures.  It aims to help us to become more efficient as a business, operate globally and to enrich the role of our people by replacing a number of manual and  cumbersome tasks with tools that better support our global growth’.

During the 3 year programme the current landscape of old IT systems, spreadsheets and manual processes will be replaced by Microsoft Dynamics 365, mPOS and PowerBI.  Providing an enterprise wide integrated solution for Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Warehousing and Retail creating efficiencies across the business and enabling new stores to be added to the portfolio quickly and easily.
